The National Assembly has resumed its sittings after the Easter Holiday break.
Top on the parliamentary agenda are debates on the division of Revenue Bill 2014 which will determine resources allocated to the counties.
The National Treasury in this year’s budget policy had proposed Ksh 221 billion shillings be remitted to the County Governments, a proposal that was later revised to Ksh 218 billion by the Budgetary Committee.
Micah Cheseram, Chair of the Commission on Revenue Allocation, has since warned that counties will be stranded in executing their roles if the figure is not raised to Ksh 238 billion.
The MPs are also expected to debate on the issue of insecurity which has divided the house following majority leader Aden Duale’s remarks.
