The Kenya Water for Health Organisation a non – governmental organisation based in Kenya has launched a new project aimed at bringing a new element of sanitation in the Kenyan urbans.
The NGO which has been in existence in the country since 1976 launched the project dubbed Sanitation marketing across the country. Some of the informal settlements in Nairobi being targeted by the initiative include Mukuru Kayaba and Mukuru Kwa Njenga.
Alex Maina the project coordinator of the Mukuru Kwa Njenga and Mukuru Kayaba projects says the project mainly aims to change the mindsets of people with regards to sanitation.
The project which is set to run for a period of three years has already gained momentum in various parts of the country.
