President Uhuru Kenyatta has hit out to the Kenyan media over what he has termed as irresponsible and false reporting.
Adressing a media conference ahead of the World Press Day Uhuru stated that wreckless journalism risk destroying the nation.
The president stated that journalists cannot be let to operate in absoulte freedom and outside the laws.
“We appreciate the energy and inventiveness with which you satirise us, most clearly, perhaps, on the XYZ Show and Bulls’ Eye, among others. These have given me pleasure over the years. But the freedom you enjoy has not always been used so wel” he said
Uhuru further went on and gave two instances in which two national newspapers gave reports that according to him were not factual.
