At least three people lost their lives and scores of others injured following an explosion at the busy Mwembe Tayari bus stage in Mombasa Saturday evening in what is considered to be the latest terror attack in the Coastal town of Mombasa.
Reports indicate that the attackers targeted a parked bus belonging to Chania Bus Services in Mwembe Tayari with what is believed to be a hand grenade .
The Mombasa county police commissioner Nelson Marwa, confirmed that the three died on the spot.
The attack comes even after numerous government attempts to heighten security, with it’s recent move being the relocation of refugees back to their camps and deportation of aliens back to their countries.
The identity of the attackers is yet to be known.
