“When I sensed danger I saw angels come and stand in front of me… just like in the case of Meshack Shadrack and Abednego who were thrown in a fierce furnace and nothing happened to them, “ these were the words of former Mungiki Leader Maina Njenga.
Njenga was answering to a journalist’s question on how he survived 30 bullets that were fired at him a fort night ago.
Contrary to previous reports the former Mungiki leader said he was not wearing a bullet proof jacket on that fateful incident that killed five of his followers.
“It was the angels who protected me, not a bullet proof jacket” he said.
Njenga’s bullet riddled jacket had at least 10 bullet holes and how he survived the attack without a bullet, well you heard it from him “the angels saved him”.
CORD Principal Raila Odinga and ODM’s Acting Secretary General Anyang’ Nyong’o who visited Maina at his Karen home now want the police to provide Njenga with security following the incident.
