The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company has announced that parts of thew city will from this morning experience water shortages as the company undertakes repairs on one of its pumping stations.
The areas that will be affected include Kilimani, Lavington, Kangemi, Mountain View, Westlands and Parklands that will not have water from Friday at 6am until noon on Saturday.
Other areas include, Kenyatta Hospital, Karen, Upper Hill area, Chiromo area and Mamlaka Road,Nyayo Highrise, Ngumo, parts of South C and Madaraka Estate.
The company says it will shut down its Gigiri Pumping Station to carry out repair works of the main supply line to Kabete.
The company is now urging the residents in the affected areas to use their available water sparingly during the period of interruption.
