Microsoft launches portal to curb youth unemploment in Kenya

A new youth portal dubbed Tuko works has been launched in a bid to help curb the high rate of youth unemployment in the country.

Microsoft in collaboration with devolution ministry, Homeboyz Foundation and Kenya Private Sector Alliance have come together to provide a platform for the youth to access information about employment opportunities.

Speaking during the unveiling, devolution PS Peter Mangiti said the portal will give the youth a chance to access knowledge on how to be successful entrepreneurs in the country.

Meanwhile Microsoft Kenya country manager, Kunle Awosika lauded the portal as an all inclusive that will give the youth the knowledge and skills necessary to start up ventures.kenya is now the second country within the sub-Saharan Africa to launch this portal after Nigeria which implemented it recently.
