President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto on Monday held a crisis meeting in State house with other top security chiefs following the Mpeketoni attack.
Cabinet Secretary for Security Joseph Ole Lenku and other security chiefs were earlier on held up in a meeting at Harambee House over the attack that killed 48 dead.
Lenku’s meeting was however cut short after they were called to State House for the same meeting.
Lenku is expected to address the media on the outcome of the meeting.
Two police officers are among the people who died during the attack.
KDF officers and the Kenya Red Cross Society are currently on the ground over the crisis.
No suspects have so far been made.
