Public hearings on the Reproductive health bill began this morning with calls of all stakeholders to be included in the drafting of the end product of the bill.
The bill sponsored by nominated senator Judith Sideni has received criticism from both the education stakeholders and the church who oppose the introduction of contraceptives in schools.
The association of parents through its secretary general Musau Ndunda has called for the inclusion of parents in the board that will oversee the implementation of the bill if passed to law.
However those who support it said passage of the bill will allow safeguard motherhood and address challenges the adolescents face in sexual experience.
