Harambee stars will get around15 million Kenya shillings from partner sponsors fly 540 it was announced this morning in Nairobi .
Nickson Ooko, the director signed a one year contract with FKF and added that his company will spend 10 million Kenya shillings on a chattered plane during the forthcoming game against Lesotho, and a further 4.5 million to be punched in the kitty bag as the team prepares to qualify for the AFCON 2015.
FKF boss Sam Nyamweya thanked the local flight company and challenged the government to emulate other countries which enjoy support from the state.
“The government should allocate and set aside finances for the national team like in other countries,” the controversial boss cricitized, “ it should actually be included in the budget because it takes 100 million Kenya shillings to run the national team annually which is very expensive.”
Nyamweya also added that FKF is set to renew its partnership deal with big money sponsors Kenya Breweries, a move that many local football pundits are now criticizing as it is seen as an avenue to enrich a few already rich persons.

According to the FKF boss, Harambee stars have no excuse not to qualify for Afcon 2015 if all the sponsors sign a package with the federation to sponsor the team.
Other sponsors still in negotiations include local broadcast channels go tv, super sport and kbc, coca cola is also rumored to be in talks with FKF.
The sponsorship deals are also said to trickle down to the local league KPL, though it is not clear whether there is an official deal or ongoing negotiations in place yet.
