Miraa businessmen in Nairobi’s Majengo slums are counting huge losses following the ban of the product in Europe.
Amos Kobia says the Miraa ban in Europe that was effected last month has seen a lot of miraa farmers stranded with their products hence dumping them in Majengo.
Kobia says they have in turn been forced to cut the prices of the product following the huge supply that has hit them.
Kobia says the ban of miraa which had initially employed over 6,000 youth has also rendered a huge number of youth jobless.
