The lands commission has began reviewing titles of the 22 private entities alleged to have fraudulently acquired land in Lamu county.
Commissions deputy chair Abigael Mukolwe says a public notice summoning the land owners to appear before them has been released to today.
Speaking in Nairobi,she dispelled rumors that the ministry of lands had already taken up the matter clarifying that the law mandates the commission to undertake the exercise of reviewing the titles.
Mukolwe has further revealed that the commission has already put in place a task-force chaired by Dr Samuel Arap Tororei to develop legislation that will help address the historical injustices in the country.
