The ministry of health has dismissed claims that one of the four patients tested for Ebola at Kenyatta National Hospital was found with the virus.
Health Cabinet secretary James Macharia says that both the two tests carried on the patients turned out negative.
Macharia says the ministry has however put stringent measures to ensure that the virus does not get to Kenya.
This comes just two days after the national carrier Kenya airways temporarily suspended their flights to Liberia, Guinea and Sierra leone.
The World Health Organization had earlier on issued a warning that Kenya is at a high risk of getting an outbreak of the deadly virus.
Ebola has so far claimed the lives of nearly 1000 people in West Africa.
