Adam Matunga aka Tush who was a midfielder with FKF’s Capitol FC was among the three people who died after consuming Illicit liquor at a popular liquor joint in Eastleigh.
Matunga’s wife Fransisca Karimi says the husband who also owned a computer accessories shop in Eastleigh went back home at 1 am blind and complaining of stomach upsets.
“We took him to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital and later was referred to Kenyatta National Hospital,” a tearful Fransisca Karimi lamented.

Hangover Wines and Spirits in East Leigh section 3 is alleged to be selling illicit alcoholic substances, is also where the deceased had his last drink.
The local joint, commonly known as Hangover Wines and Spirits is alleged to been selling banned alcoholic substances among other illegal drugs according to the locals.
Eastleigh section three also commonly known as ‘Madiwa’ . It is also knownas a hub of alcoholic drinks, both legal and illegal.
“The situation here is pathetic especially among the youth, I don’t understand how even young women find merry in this stinking hard to swallow banned substances,” a disgusted Joan Nzuve, sister to the deceased complained.
Ghetto radio’s investigative team tried to no avail to find the owner of hang over wines and spirits where Mutunga had his last drink, nor the waitress who served at that particular night since the place was not open.
Nzuve added that as a family they will later sit down and discuss their options as they might be considering a law suit.
It is however not clear whether this habitual behavior among Madiwa’s youth is due to peer pressure or a stress related issue further explains Peter, twin brother to Joan Nzuve.
The 29 year old midfielder who has left behind a wife and two children will be laid to rest in the land of his ancestors in Makueni County on 6th of September
