Statehouse has denied reports that a car belonging to the presidential motorcade was stolen by armed men in Nairobi’s Ruai area.
A media statement by State House Spokesperson Manoa Esipisu states that the stolen BMW belonged to the Kenya Police Service and it is not an armoured car like reported.
Esipisu says Chief Inspector Machui of the Kenya Police Service who had the ordinary BMW was accosted by criminals on Wednesday night and took away the car, a mobile phone and some 60,000 shillings.
He says a search has been launched to recover the stolen car.
