Major-General Philip Wachira Kameru has been sworn in as National Intelligence Service (NIS) director-general.
The new Air force commander, Major General Samuel Ng’ang’a Thuita also took oath in a ceremony conducted Thursday morning by the Head of Public Service and Chief of Staff Joseph Kinyua and witnessed by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
The swearing in of Major-General Kameru followed his confirmation to the position by the National Assembly in a special sitting held Wednesday.
President Uhuru Kenyatta told the new officers to join hands with other government officials in delivering effective and efficient service to Kenyans.
