Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu today defied State House and appeared before the National Assembly Committee on General Oversight.
This came amid instructions from head of civil servants Joseph Kinyua for them not to appear before the national assembly through a letter written to the clerk of parliament.
Her other colleague’s Interior security Cs Joseph Ole Lenku and his education counterpart Jacob kaimenyi who were scheduled to appear before the house could not be traced with the speaker Justin Muturi saying they had vanished.
Leader of majority Aden Duale however promised to follow up on the matter asking parliament to allow them appear before the house next week amid calls by a section of Mps for sanctions to be imposed upon them.
