Mabatini MCA Wilfred Odalo confronted by his ward members in Mathare
Mathare voters have begun the process to recall Members of the County Assembly who they claim have failed to represent them effectively.
The voters have already filed a petition in parliament against Mabatini MCA Wilfred Odalo who is accused of sidelining the community while creating the ward development committee.
According to Javin Ochieng who spoke on behalf of the voters Odalo has taken people from his community alone and put them in the committee.
“Odalo is unapproachable, any time you try to approach him with genuine concerns he draws his gun and threatens you with it. That is why as the people of Mathare we have resolved to go to court to recall him,” stated Ochieng.
The MCA however declined knowledge of the petition and has stated that he has been and will continue working with his ward members.
“I have never been served with any petition letter and so let those who want to talk talk, i hear the same people are also looking for signatures to recall my other colleagues.” he said.
“But i will continue serving my ward members are required,” he added.
Hospital ward voters have also launched a signature collection process to recall their MCA George Ocholla.
Ocholla is accused of arrogance and also sidelining Hospital Ward residents from in creating ward development committee.
Ocholla was unavailable for comment. His personal assistant said he was in a meeting.
