If you are a twitter junk, you will definitely agree with me that KOT is not dead.
This is evident after the group ruthlessly attacked NTV’s news anchor Victoria Rubadili’s gothic image on last Fridays show on the Trend which she hosted in Larry Madowo’s absence.
According to her, it was so unfortunate that Kenyans on social media misinterpreted the talent of a local group of make-up artistes for a devilish act .Victoria rather insisted that the Trend show did not have any sinister motives as presumed by many.
Below is a post she posted on social media ruling her sentiments on the case after a number of Kenyans mercilessly judged her.
“I hosted the Trend this past Friday and one of the segments featured a team of artists who specialise in movie and television make-up. I was their subject and what resulted was a rather gory finished product, which was the whole point of the segment ‘Beauty to Beast.’ Some took the segment tag and my reference to the make-up as ‘being set for Halloween’ as a promotion of the holiday. To be clear the segment was NOT an ode to Halloween or anything more sinister. It was really unfortunate that what was meant to showcase the talent of local young make-up artists, who do spectacular work, ended up being misconstrued. I realise it may have offended some, but it was purely done in jest, given the nature of the show. And come on, you have to give me a little credit for being brave enough to embrace ‘the ugly’ like that on LIVE television. With that I’m going to enjoy the rest of my Mashujaa Day, hope you do too.”
What do you think? Is Victoria advocating a satanic movement in the country and lamely covering it up with make-up artists?
