A police officer is fighting for his life in hospital after he was shot and seriously wounded by gunmen in Eastleigh area, Nairobi.
Police say the victim was patrolling with other colleagues and had tried to arrest a group of suspected thugs on Sunday when he was shot in the abdomen.
The attackers managed to escape and no arrest has been made so far.
Last week Eastleigh residents took to the streets to protest terror by a criminal gang known as Super Power.
The gang is composed of young men who are deportees from the US and Europe.
