The Rastafarian Community in Nairobi yesterday celebrated their cultural day by showcasing their traditional foods and holding their special prayers.
The cultural event which was the first ever in Kenya saw different Rastafarians converge to pray to their god Haile Selassie who hailed from Ethiopia.
One of the key notable food missing in their menu was meat. According to the Rastafarians, they do not eat meat because they believe that the blood will interfere with their Rastafarian spirituality.
According to the Rastafarians, it is Emeror Haile Selassie who saved man kind and specifically Africa.
