2014 Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia are visiting Statehouse this morning following an invitation from President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The team is set to present to the president the KPL trophy they retained last weekend in a closely contested season.
Kogallo beat KRA 3-0 last weekend in a decisive match that saw them top the league with 60 points.
Gor Mahia’s Deputy Secretary General Naima AKetch Ferrari told Ghetto Radio Sports that he hopes the visit to State House will help the team get a sponsor after the withdrawal of Milk Company Tuzo.
On Wednesday Football Kenya Federation hosted the team in a luncheon at a Nairobi Hotel where FKF awarded them with Ksh. 100,000.
Sports Cabinet Secretary Dr. Hassan Wario also gave the KPL Champions Ksh. 300,000 which came from the Ministry.
Kogalo is set to represent the country in the Confederation of African Championship next year.
This year the team faced many challenges among them lack of sponsorship after the withdrawal of Tuzo.
