Gospel pioneer Bishop Ben Bahati was laid to rest Monday at his rural home in Kakamega.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was among dignitaries who attended the burial with top Gospel Music Moguls also in attendance to pay their last respects to their colleague.
The late Bishop had been fighting for his life in hospital after being involved in a road accident in August this year on his way to Eldoret from Nakuru at Burnt Forest.
The “Sasa Nimetambua” singer and Evangelist passed on 3rd Nov 2014 after succumbing to major injuries from the accident.
Bishop Ben Bahati has been a great mentor to many gospel artistes in Kenya including Rufftone, J Blessing, Daddy Owen, Ole Willy and was nominated before in the prestigious 2014 Groove Awards.
Ben Bahati’s music has been inspirational to many.
Rest in Peace Bishop.
