Civil society groups have staged a protest over the rising cases of insecurity in the country.
The protests under the banner “occupy harambee avenue” are aimed at pushing president Uhuru Kenyatta and his government to take action on the security situation across the country.
The protest comes in the wake of the Mandera massacre in which 28 people were killed by terrorists on Saturday.
Speaking to Ghetto Radio news activist Boniface Mwangi said they want key security chiefs to be sacked because of the escalating insecurity in the country.
Mwangi also says they are in support of all unions asking for the departure of their members from terror stricken areas in the country as the government has not assured them of their security.
