The Ministry of Health has started a media campaign to educate people on the dangers of cigarette smoking.
This follows a revelation that an increasing number of 11 – 15 year old boys and girls are smoking cigarettes.
The ministry under The Tobacco control Unit will start the campaign dubbed *“Cigarettes are Eating Your Baby Alive” to help stop the tobacco epidemic in Kenya.
This campaign will show the dangers of second – hand smoke especially to babies and children.
According to the Ministry many non smokers are exposed to second-hand smoke in the home.
