Rescue operation of victims trapped in the collapsed Kaloleni building might take longer than expected.

Officers working on the ground say this follows lack of proper access to the building.

The death toll from the Tuesday morning ha already reached four.

Scores others have been admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital and scores others still trapped.

Senior Research Officer of the National Construction Authority David Njuguna says access to the building has been hampered by the poor plan the building has.

“This building had a very poor plan. It only had one exit and that has really made the work of the officers very hard,” he said.

” Njuguna says the authority is going to take stern action against the owner of the building including the other emerging dubious constructors in the country,” he said.

Nairobi County Deputy Police Commander Moses Ombati says already 15 people have been reported missing and five of them have communicated to their relatives and told them that they are trapped.
