Members of the public early Thursday morning burnt to death four people they suspect to have killed a motorcycle operator at Githurai 44 in Nairobi.
The four, according to Kasarani OCPD Francis Sang, were roughed up from their house and lynched by boda boda operators and members of the public.
On Tuesday night, the four together with two others who escaped the Thursday lynching are said to have stabbed to death the motorcyclist and took away his motorbike.
A witness said one of the suspects was approached by boda boda operators who beat him before asking him to show them where the others were. He said the suspects were beaten in turns before their bodies were put together and burnt.
“They took them to one point and beat them to death before setting their bodies on fire” the witness, Zack Omondi, who is also a boda boda rider said.
He said the four were well known for attacking boda boda riders. They pretend to be clients before stealing money and motorcycles from their victims.
