A section Nairobi region has been hit by water shortage following the dry season that has hit the country since January.
Residents from Nairobi’s Eastlands region claim they have not had water in their taps for almost two months now.
They say their alternative sources of community taps run by the City County have also remained closed despite their desperate need.
The residents now want both the National and County government to quickly sort out the issues.
“We want the county government to come up with another plan or else we will go on strike,” said the residents.
“Right now shower prices have even gone up… where we used to pay for three shillings to take a shower now we pay for ten shillings. How is that sustainable,” posed Wambui a Mathare resident.
