Extreme super 8 C.E.O Mohammed Hussein, on Tuesday fated on claims surrounding intimidation allegations of the coaches and teams participating in the super 8 tournament will be punished.
Mohammed urged all the clubs in Nairobi not to fear because the government is participating, extreme sports has got a track record in terms of sports management and even the ministry of sports culture and arts is taking part by supporting the super 8 9th edition tournament.
He says the referees’ of this game will be paid thrice as much as what they usually earn from the league.
Last month Kenya Football referees cried foul over intimidation by the Football Kenya Federation despite being paid for their services.
FKF had warned referees against officiating in unsanctioned matches saying that the federation will punish those who don’t heed the warning.
“For me I think it’s about where your bread is buttered, your future and why do you do it in the first place,” said Mohammed.
“If you participate in officiating games that you never get paid for anyway and you have an opportunity to officiate in games where there is professional management, transparency and good governance where would you rather be? You would rather be there,” he added.
