The government through the ministry of education has set aside ksh. 10 million that will be used to control sexually transmitted infections in secondary schools and other government institutions.
Addressing the media Education Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi says the initiative is part of the government’s plan to improve the life of students and provide quality education countrywide.
Kaimenyi however, warned teachers unions against continuously opposing the government’s projects without considering the due process involving the implementation of such projects.
The initiative is expected to start in two months time.
