Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Felix Koskei Saturday stepped aside to pave way for investigations after he was named in the anti-graft report.
This follows the President’s directive to leaders mentioned in the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission report to step aside.
Koskei said that he was never interrogated by the anti-graft commission but took it upon himself to uphold the rule of law.
He said that his conscience was clear and that he is not involved in graft of whatever form adding that that he will be vindicated once the investigations have been concluded.
Kosgei’s resignation comes even as Governors and other top ranking officials in the government rubbished the directive saying that they will not step aside.
