Nairobi residents woke up to a shock of donkeys painted black and white all over their bodies with words ‘corruption bleeding Kenya dry’, chained on metal grills along Kenyatta Avenue.
“Corruption is bleeding Kenya. Tumechoka (we are fed up),” read part of the graffiti on the donkeys
This comes just two days after five cabinet secretaries and other top government officials named by the anti corruption watchdog stepped aside to pave way for investigations.
Government officials took away the five donkeys believed to have been brought to town by civil society activists this morning this being the second incident where activists are using animals to send their message.
