
President Uhuru Kenyatta yesterday wrote a condolence message to each of the families of the Garissa Attack victims.
In his message Uhuru asked each family to accept his message of condolence while expressing his regret to the loss of lives of the University students.
The president also promised to increase efforts to contain the terrorism threat and also assured justice for the victims.
“I promise that as a Nation, we shall never forget them, nor forgive those who took their lives. My Government is increasing efforts to contain the threat of terrorism we assure you of justice for this brutality. We pledge to work harder for a better and more just country in honour of the memory of those we have lost.” read part of the message.
Uhuru’s letter comes days after he rceived a scathing attack from Kenyans in the matter in which his soldiers handled the security situation in Garissa.
The attack was majorly on how the security team Recce Squad which ended the siege was delayed in Nairobi for by over seven hours.
