Nurses of Pumwani Maternity Hospital have once again gone on strike following the continued intimidation by patients over the stolen babies saga.
Addressing the Ghetto Radio News today at the hospital premises the Kenya National Union of Nurses Seth Panyako says some patients have are allegedly referring to nurses as baby thieves, Al Shabaab and even dogs.
Panyakp says some patients have even threatened to rape and kill them for allegedly selling babies at the hospital.
Panyako however, reiterated that the Pumwani nurses strike will automoatically force other public hospitals nurses to withdraw thier labour due to overwhelming number of patients coming to deliver.
Meanwhile the union has written to the president requesting him to make Pumwani an independent hospital and relocate all the nurses a move they say will restore back faith of the peole on the hospital.
