
AFC Leopards players have been paid their January 2015 salaries yesterday.
The team which is famously known as Ingwe has been facing major financial crisis that has seen the players go for a longer time without pay. This situation has made the players to boycott crucial training of the team, on many occasions, crying for their uncleared dues in the club, a situation that demoralized the players.
One of the club official told of the local media agency that that they have used funds from the ‘Mashemeji’ derby gate collection to clear the January arrears meaning the club now owes the playing unit February and March salaries.
Reports indicates that Ingwe will be back in action from today 15 Wednesday April, when they play against KCB in a Kenyan Premier League match at the Nyayo National Stadium here in Nairobi.
