According to a certain Tanzanian blog, millardayo.com bongo sensation, Ali Kiba’s home was raided by heavily armed thugs, a gang of about 15 people to be exact, who jumped over the musician’s home wall at around 3 am in the morning.
The gang is reported to have beaten up Ali Kiba’s two relatives and forced them to show him Ali Kiba’s room but instead they were shown the room of his younger brother who luckily wasn’t around that day.
“Nimeongea na Abdu Kiba, amesema yeye alikuwa Masaki, Ali akampigia simu kwamba kuna watu kama 15 hivi wamevamia nyumbani kwao.. waliovamia waliruka ukuta saa tisa usiku, wakavunja mlango wa sebuleni, wakakuta vijana wawili ambao wanaishi nao, wakawapiga na kuwalazimisha wawaoneshe chumba ambacho Ali yumo.. wale vijana wakajibu kwamba Ali hayupo, wakaulizia chumba chake wakaoneshwa chumba cha Abdu Kiba.Wameingia chumbani wakamkosa Ali Kiba, wameiba vitu vingi vya sebuleni na chumbani pia, pamoja na pesa milioni 2 na nusu zilizokuwa chumbani kwa Abdu.Abdu amesema alitoa taarifa Polisi, wakafika usiku huo huo na kuanza ukaguzi wa eneo lote la nyumba,” the blog reported.
The thugs then managed to steal money and anything they could carry with them. Luckily, they didn’t get hold of Ali Kiba who was their main target. The wounded siblings further claimed that the thugs surprised them when they stole shoes, leaving one of every pair and carrying the other.
