The police yesterday thwarted an Al Shabaab attack in Ijara Constituency Garissa County.
Inspector General Of Police Joseph Boinnet says the militia men were found harassing locals for food and water.
According to Boinet the attempted incursion was repulsed after the locals reported the incident to the police.
“Security forces last night ambushed an Al Shabaab mob, found harassing locals for food & water Yumbis, Ijara. Attempted incursion repulsed,” the IG stated on his twitter handle.
