Former Kiambu mayor, Joseph Ndung’u, is dead.

s suspected to have committed suicide after he was found hanging from a rope in his bedroom by one of his daughters.
According to family members the former mayor spent much of the weekend drinking at the local trading centre before picking a domestic quarrel with his wife on Saturday.
Ndung’u was the Kiambu mayor between 2009 and 2012.
He also made an attempt at the Kiambu parliamentaries during the 2013 general elections without success.
Before his death he is said to have retired to his farm where he engaged in agri-businsess.
