
Suspended Transport Cabinet Secretary Michael Kamau was on Thursday charged with abuse-of-office before a Nairobi Court.
The CS together with two other officials were was also charged with failure to follow procurement rules while serving in the ministry.
His co-accused, Nicholas Mburu Ng’anga, also denied the same charges and was released on similar term while the third accused, Kaka Matemu Kithyo, was released on a Sh600,000 bail by Senior Principal Magistrate Lawrence Mogambi.
The CS, however, did not take a plea, after the magistrate handed him back to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for processing.
