A section of Nairobi county assembly members now want leaders to reconsider and amend the procurement laws to enable them perform their duties effectively without long chain of procurements processes.
Speaking during an interview with Ghetto Radio News the Kayole ward representative Elizabeth Manyala says the bureaucratic nature of the constitution especially the procurement laws has put most of their projects at stake with some members being sued over graft allegations.
Manyala is now urging all leaders across political divide to put their differences aside and focus on how they can amicably amend procurement laws a move she says will help Kenyans attain various developments projects at grassroots levels.
This comes a time when a good number of Nairobi county ward representatives have come on board to accuse the Nairobi county government for not implementing their development agendas factored in the 2014/2015 financial year.
