
Human Rights activists are now supporting the idea to disband the Ethics and anti corruption commission.
Activist John Githongo now says disbanding the commission and reconstituting it afresh will help in the fight against corruption.
Speaking during breakfast show ‘Brekko’ at Ghetto Radio 89.5, Githongo argues that currently the commission lacks public confidence as they have failed in prosecuting the big individuals in government who have been involved in corruption scandals.
The national assembly last week passed the EACC amendment bill 2015 to send home the CEO Halakhe Waqo and his deputy.
The bill now awaits Presidents signature.
