Kenya 15s Squad Vs Spain Named

Kenya National 15s rugby Coach Jerome Paarwater has made tactical changes in the side to take on Spain this Saturday in a test match at RFUEA grounds.  Scrum half Edwin Achayo returns from a long injury layoff in place of Lyle Asiligwa who is recovering from an arm injury sustained in the clash against Tunisia two weeks ago.

Among those named are strathmore’s Brian Nyikuli who is the team captain, Michael Okombe of top Fry Nakuru, KCB duo Peter Karia and Curtis Lilako and Kenya Harlequin’s Wilson Kopondo.

Currently ranked 20th on the World Rugby ranking,The Spain come into this encounter off the back of a 20-3 win over another African side, Namibia in a Four Nations tournament played on 21 June in Bucharest,Romania and in their first African foray since 2012 when they defeated Namibia 38-37 in Windhoek, Namibia.

This will be the first ever test match between the two sides, despite the two teams having met severally in the sevens version of the game and it promises to be an exciting encounter.

Kenya lost to Zimbabwe 20-28 on June 13 before beating Tunisia 46-15 on June 28 in the Africa Rugby ties.
