An audit is set to be carried out in Nairobi county to establish the number of licensed drinking outlets in the city.
This follows a report that their are more than 12000 outlets selling alcoholic drinks in the city though the county’s liquor licensing board has only licensed 4 thousand outlets.
According to Nairobi county liquor licensing board chairman Vincent Shimuli officials will be getting the details of all bars as well as wine and spirits stores so as to come up with a comprehensive programme on how to fight illegal alcohol.
