
Mourners at the Kenya National Theater broke into song and dance during the viewing of the late Benson Wanjau popularly known as Mzee Wanjau.
Contrast to the sombre mood characterised in many funerals, the body viewing of Mzee Ojwng at the theater was turned into a celebration by the many artists who showed up for the event.
‘Mzee Ojwang’ Hatari’ will be laid to rest today at the Lang’ata cemetery in Nairobi.
Fellow thespians, artistes, musicians and several politicians including Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko and Governor Dr Evans Kidero are expected to attend the funeral service.
Mzee Ojwang’ died on July 12 this year at the Kenyatta National Hospital where he had been admitted after suffering a bout of pneumonia.
