Teachers have vowed to down their tools when the schools re-open in September if the government fails to increase their salary.
Kenya National Union of Teachers Secretary General Wilson Sossion on Monday urged all teachers to abscond duty until the government heeds to their demands
“We will not accept this form of oppression by the government. This will be the mother of all strikes and we are not relenting on that. We will stay at home because the government has refused to show respect for teachers.”
Mr Sossion said teachers are expecting a salary raise in their August pay slips, failure to which they will not report to school in September.
