
Three students suspected to have set a dorm alight, killing three learners at Stephjoy High School will spend 10 more days in cells, the High Court ruled on Monday.
Justice Ngenye Macharia said their lock-up would allow police time to gather evidence.
Judge Macharia rejected the accused’s request to be released on bond, citing public outcry that the attack provoked, and demand for justice for the three boys who perished in the pre-dawn blaze.
She however, she gave police until August 21 to charge the suspects whose names cannot be revealed because they are minors.
