A woman was charged yesterday at the Makadara court with forging a marriage certificate .
Naomi Kavoi 51, allegedly forged the sinature of her late husband Ramadhan Hassan at Milimani Kadhi Court on April 13,2012.
She also allegedly fored the signature of Sheikh Mohamed Mbwana, the assistant registrar of Islamic marriages and divorce.
Kavoi also faces charges of forging the signature of Maalim Abbas as a witness on her marriage certificate.
During a hearing yesterday Kavoi pleaded with the court to strike off the case for lack of witnesses.
She said the case was meant to punish her over matrimonial issues.
The case will be heard on October 15.
