The seven bodies of St. Martins primary school pupils, Murang’a County, who drowned at a public beach in Diani, Kwale have been taken to Kenyatta University mortuary.
The bodies which were airlifted to Nairobi from Mombasa arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 6 am
A post-mortem witnessed by family members will be conducted and will be conducted.
Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria says the national carrier, Kenya Airways accepted to transport the seven bodies for free.
The seven died after drowning while swimming at a public beach in Diani two days ago. They were among 56 pupils who were on an academic tour of the coast region.
