FC Bitam pledges nothing short than a win against Gor Mahia

Cameroon legend Gabonese side Bitam fc Coach Omam Biyik has said that his side has come nothing short than a win against Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia .

“our main aim is to play a good match and hopefully come out of this match with a win as this will help our work in the second leg to be easy” he said.

Forty eight year old Biyik one of the most important players of the Cameroonian National team in the nineties  , playing at the three World Cups in 1990 , 1994 , and 1998 is fondly remembered at World Cup in 1990 hosted by Italy when he scored the winner against then World Champions Argentina 1-0.

Biyik said he don’t know the Gor Mahia very well but he said that he remembers the 1987 squad that played  Cameroonian side that Canon Yaounde .

“Gor Mahia is a great club with a good Coach with great international experience from Uganda and also has great players also I remember the great Gor Mahia side but for me I will be looking to utilize the chance to score goals since I know I have good players” Biyik added .

Biyik is a French national who also featured in quite a number of teams in the French Ligue.

He had success with different French clubs before moving to Marseille in the summer of 1992. He only played one match, and was transferred to Lens in October 1992.

After a few years he continued his career in Mexico with Club America and Puebla FC with short stops in European clubs towards the late nineties. Omam-Biyik retired after the 1999/2000 season.
