Embattled Embu Governor Martin Wambora today put up a spirited fight against allegations of abuse of office as his impeachment process entered its second day today.
Through his lawyer peter Wanyama the governor stated that the allegations of misconduct and breach of procurement laws cannot be directly attributed to him
Speaking before the 11 member senate committee, he intimated that the constitution does not have the real definition or threshold for abuse of office and Wambora could not be accountable for actions done by his accounting officers.
The governor’s defense team will be relying on two witnesses who include the finance county executive and the county secretary to demonstrate that the process used to oust the embattled governor did not follow the due process.
